如果你有隨時留意新的單車科技資訊 你應該不難發現有更多更寬的輪胎及輪組在市面上出現 但你可能還不知道為何這類的產品會出現,又有何優勢 今天我們就來告訴你,為什麼 我們最近開始思考這件事的起因,是來自於這組新的ENVE輪組 看起來帥帥的SES 4.5 AR DISC 當然,它有著前後輪框差異設定的ENVE的傳統,配上Chris King花鼓 但是! 這組不太一樣 這輪組所帶來的新的設計,著實讓人感到耳目一新 首先,這是專屬於碟煞的框體設計 然後,這組應該目前為止,我看過最寬的公路車輪組 外側量起來有足足31.5mm寬 而內側也有達25mm寬 這樣的設計顯然是隨著近年碟煞車款的設計而衍生出來 當然,這樣的設定也只能用在碟煞車款上 也因為是碟煞,少了傳統煞車夾器的風阻,所以框體可以做的更大 再者,少了C夾煞車的限制,輪胎自然可以加的更寬 目前為止,我們大致歸類出來以上幾個點 但回到影片一開始所提的 為何趨勢是走向更寬的輪組與輪胎呢? 其中,最明顯的優勢 更寬的輪胎事實上可以帶來更小的滾動阻力 感覺上好像跟我們平常的認知有所不同 但經由實驗產生的數據證明了這件事 不管怎樣 事實就是事實 實際上,28c的輪胎經由實驗,證明可以比25c的輪胎, 一輪多省2~3瓦的出力 而且還只是單輪在均速40km/h時的差異 如果是23c的輪胎,那差異會更大 原因,或者說是,這個箇中的學問 是由於輪胎的曲面外緣,也就是與地面接觸的面積 會隨著輪胎寬度的增加,而減少與地面磨擦受阻的面積 想當然,阻力變小了,自然滾動的速度就可以提高了 但要注意的是 唯有寬的框體才有辦法撘配上寬的胎,兩者合一才能達到最好的功效 輪胎橫切面面積寬窄,直接影響到接觸地表的磨擦面 不止如此 輪胎與地表的接觸面同時也是處理彈跳很重要的一環 有點像是胎壓很低時,接觸面變大且輪胎扭動產生的感覺 抓地力,也就是磨擦力 磨擦力變大,代表滾動表現會越不好(阻力大) 這邊這條Schwalbe 28c 其實量起來已經超過31寬的這條胎 在橫切的接觸面已經十分的寬(意思就是與地面接觸反而變小,阻力也小) 支撐表現很好 加上專門對應的框體,整個空力表現也大幅提升 在實驗室所收集到的參考資訊,當然只稱的上部份客觀 因為各項條件都先經過優化及進一步調教
