Behind the Wheel: Rebecca Rusch

Behind the Wheel: Rebecca Rusch

Hey my name is Jessica and I’m the
Operations Director here at Wheelie and today’s Behind the Wheel features the
Rebecca Rusch project it’s Rebecca Rusch, Queen of Pain,
seven-time world champion, endurance athlete She’s pretty freaking awesome so Rebecca wanted a new brand image for her as an athlete but also to encompass
her entire business. So this was a multi stage project which started with a logo
project to encompass all the adventures that Rebecca rush has in her life and we
had to create a new logo for her, an icon for all her merchandise, and a brand for
her Academy which is all her camps that she offers throughout the summer which
is sweet. You should check it out. And then we went into website design for her new website and website build which we just wrapped up this last month and
we’re super stoked on. So a big part of Rebecca’s brand is her
ethos that she goes by which is Be Good she has a whole bunch of values around
that, with risk equals reward, you give what you get So we spent a lot of time
working with Rebecca and really honing in on what her brand was standing for
where she wanted to go and how it was going to resonate over time and be
effective to her core values and what she stands for and what she lives for
beyond being just an athlete. Because she has an incredible purpose that she works
for and if you don’t know anything about her Be Good Foundation you should get online at rebeccarucsh.com and check it out and get involved * cheering and bell ringing* April was a busy month around here and
we kicked off the month of course celebrating April Fool’s Day we got to
prank Lisa by showing up at the office in our very best professional outfits
and we made a fun video, enjoy. This month on the podcast we had a brand new word so I asked Jessica Parker to talk about our word of the month. So the word of the month is negotiation So negotiation to me is simply doing
business. It’s not compromise and it’s not conflict, it’s knowing where you
stand and effectively communicating what you stand for and what your worth is so
that you can effectively do business. So negotiation was the theme of the podcast this month and we had four amazing guests from all across the outdoor
industry we had the amazing artist Andrea Slusarski aka Drawing from
Nature, we had Susan Pieper, founder and CEO of DMOS we had professional
photographer Andrew Chad and professional big mountain skier Corey
Seemann. and you can find all of those episodes anywhere you get podcasts and
make sure you subscribe to Outside by Design because we drop new episodes
every Thursday morning. Thanks for being here,
see you next time!
